Understanding & Interpreting Laboratory Tests - 2 Day Seminar
Program DescriptionToday's health professional must have a good understanding of why a laboratory test is ordered and the implications of altered values. The purpose of this seminar is to reinforce the rationale, implications, physiology and pathophysiology behind those FREQUENTLY ORDERED LABORATORY TESTS as a basis for understanding the patient diagnosis and counseling. Numerous case studies are used to enhance critical thinking.
The seminar has been so well received and contains so much valuable information that we have expanded it to a two part course. To maximize the educational experience, an extensive syllabus with drawings, diagrams, and home study quizzes (with answers), is used each day.
Understanding Laboratory Tests in Day 1 and Day 2 will be of benefit to Pharmacists, Nurses, Health Information Managers, Dietitians, Quality Assurance, Utilization Review, DRG Coordinators, Coding Staff, Chiropractors, Insurance and Case Managers.
