Special Education Guidance for Implementing the New IDEA Regulations
On December 3, 2004, the President signed the new IDEA, known as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, into law. These new provisions become effective October 2006. On August 3, 2006, the Department of Education announced the final regulations to implement Part B of the New IDEA. "Special Education Update: Practical Guidance for Implementing the New IDEA Regulations" will provide practical advice for integrating the new regulations and the new Chapter 115 into your special education program along with the IEP process. This critical and extensive seminar will review, detail and discuss the most significant provisions of the final regulations and cover the new developments that most directly and significantly impact school districts and charter schools.
